Beauty And The East.........

We are trying to cater the beautiful jewelries from India to the entire world. India is already well known for its exclusive ornaments. India is a greatest example of unity in diversity and its cultural diversity has contributed a lot to the jewelry industry. Not only the jewelries look different in different states but also the women wear them differently. Broadly we can divide India into north, south , east and west and try to give you a brief idea about the diversity of jewelries.northbride

North India – It is surrounded by the great Himalayan mountain range, and women mostly wear ornaments made of silver, glass, beads and lacs. Those ornaments are very bright and colourful.westbride

West India - Customs require married women to wear a ring on their nose which is beautifully crafted and mostly made of gold. There is a lot of use of gold and silver and less of beads and glass, lac, etc. The Kundan and Pachchikam jewellery of the western region are known to the entire nation. The Kundan jewellery is an intricate way of setting a gemstone in piece of jewelry.

South India - Moving to the southern part of India, we can see an extensive use of gold in jewelry making. Gold is considered to be an auspicious metal and is used extensively, without much inclusion of gems and stones. The married women wear a necklace known as “Mangalsutra” and the nose pins which look totally different from other parts of India.

eastbrideEast India - The states have a similar kind of style when it comes to clothing and jewellery. We see lots of gold , pearl and silver jewelries in the east. These states are also famous for the “filigree” designs on silver jewelries. Also the married women wear bangles made up of iron and coated with silver or gold.
